This site covers two things: growing Nepenthes (tropical pitcher plants), and a guide to hiking in Korea’s mountains, based on trails I’ve actually hiked myself.
Among ornamental plants, information on Nepenthes tends to be especially scattered. When we actually tried growing one, practical questions like “how should I water it,” “why won’t the pitchers open,” or “how do I get it through winter” were surprisingly hard to find clear answers to. This site was created to fill that gap.
At the same time, the number of foreign visitors hiking in Korea has been growing fast, yet practical hiking information in English is still hard to come by. Drawing on trails I’ve personally hiked, this site also aims to share hiking information that’s genuinely useful for foreign travelers.
